NYC in two days: Day 2

Day 2

Hey everyone! If you missed yesterday’s post, you don’t know that last week Dylan surprised me with a birthday trip to NYC! We took on two jam packed days in the big city. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out my post about day 1 here!

I also put together a fun little video of our entire trip!

As much fun as day 1 was, day 2 was for sure my favorite! We had a bus to catch back to VA in the evening so the plan was toย wake up early to try to hit as many spots as we could!

Brooklyn Bridge

Okay, so like I said, we planned to start our day out early. Our first stop was the Brooklyn Bridge. However, not as planned, we slept in an hour past when our alarm clocks were set. On top of that, our Uber got a little confused trying to drop us off. When I say confused, I mean somehow he ended up taking us over the Brooklyn bridge TWICE (from Manhattan, to Brooklyn, and BACK to Manhattan) before finally dropping us off (no worries, he didn’t charge us extra). I’ve visited New York City a good amount of times before this one, but for some reason I had yet to visit the Brooklyn Bridge. I don’t know if this sounds dumb, but it’s literally HUGE. You don’t really notice the genuine size of it until you’re standing right in the middle of it. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you’re ever in the city.

How cool is this?!

SoHo & Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer

This was definitely one of the coolest restaurants I’ve gone to. I want to go back and try every milkshake on their menu! Ever since we went, sometimes I just zone out and think about them…

Top of the Rock

If you really want to see the entire city, this is the place to go. We decided to go here, rather than the top of the Empire State building just because we wanted to be able to see the Empire State building as well. We could’ve spent hours up there. It was so calming to be on top of the chaos going on in the streets below. The view gave us a pretty cool perspective of how big the city really is.

We had such a fun trip! I’m really happy that we got the most that we could out of our time in the city. Winter break is close toย over for me and it’s almost time to get back to the real world :(.

Thank you for taking the time to read this! It means the world :). I hope you have a fantastic day!

Sincerely, Sam
