NYC in two days: Day 1
Hey everyone! A week ago, Dylan surprised me for my birthday with a trip to the big apple! It was totally unexpected; I even started crying. There’s no other way to say it: he’s the best.
One city, two days, SO much to do. We crammed as much as we could in these couple of days.
Part one of this post is all about our first day in the city. Part two will be going up tomorrow!
We made our way to Battery Park to see this colorful carousel that we thought might be cool for pictures and video footage, only to find out it was closed. 🙁
Our time in Times Square was spent going into a lot of stores, and surprisingly, not buying a lot of anything. I bought one hat, and it was because it was only $4.99… from Urban Outfitters. $4.99 and Urban Outfitters, never see those two in the same sentence! Clearly all of the holiday festivities have squeezed the money out of me. My favorite part of Times Square was the amount of times we had to ask strangers to take a photo of us. It was honestly just hilarious. There were about 3 blurry photos, 1 extremely zoomed in photo, and 1 girl even didn’t even take an actual photo.
Ice Skating at Rockefeller
This was probably one of the best parts of the entire trip! We went out to dinner and then ice skated until midnight at the Rockefeller Center. We were literally the last ones on the ice. It was so fun to have the entire rink to ourselves! (Fun fact: I used to figure skate…Even funner fact: I’m not very good at it anymore). I would definitely go back and do this again.
Thanks for reading! Don’t forget to stay tuned for part 2 of our trip (my favorite day out of the two).
