It’s Cherry Blossom Season!

Spring is here and so are the cherry blossoms! So what else is there to do besides drag Dylan to D.C. with me? We played tourist the other weekend and visited the Cherry Blossom Festival. We’ve already been before, but it was so pretty before that we just had to go again.Β If you’ve never been and you get a chance to, I 100% recommend it! The festival goes on until the 17th of April, and the parade is this Saturday (April 16th). If you decide to go, definitely be ready to brave an endless amount of people though.

This was my favorite picture from the entire day! Living so close to D.C., I forget how beautiful it is sometimes.

Off-the-shoulder top (Actually a dress) | Purse (similar one here & its on sale!)Β | Shoes (Similar)

My outfit is all linked above. The top I’m wearing is actually a dress that I tied a knot into! The dress is super comfy and less than $30. They have it in a lot of colors as well. I bought it in white and light blue.

We were waiting to take pictures in a cute spot and I found a four leaf clover!

Overall, the quick trip and huge crowds were definitely worth seeing the pretty views. However, I don’t think I’d wear sandals the next time around. There’s a lot of dirt patches in the grass & my shoes were a mess afterwards!

Thanks for reading!

xx,

Sam

I’m a DC suburb native myself and cherry blossom season is one of my favorite local events. It’s always so pretty! I’ll give you a tip – go down to the tidal basin at night, just after the sun has set. It’s a lot quieter down there and you can actually walk around the waterfront and enjoy the scenery. You have a beautiful blog, Sam. I’m so glad I got to come over for a visit today!

Very cute! I’ve been to DC multiple times before, but not when the cherry blossoms have bloomed. I’ll have to make another trip very some!

That was such a great idea to knot your dress into a shirt! I have been to D.C. once and I hope to be able to visit again.
